Manifestation: A glowing orange ball can be seen bouncing merrily down the road. Many official agencies have witnessed and reported this unusual sphere.
Directions: The road goes through the town of Hornet, 11 miles south of Joplin. Follow I-44 west from Joplin. Just before the last exit at the Oklahoma border, turn south onto State Line Road. Devil's Promenade Road crosses State Line Road after about four miles. There is an abandoned Spook Light museum at the site. The light can be seen from any point along its two mile stretch.
